Visitors come to the Zoo not only to see the wildlife but also to learn about them. Through various methods zoo is educating people about conservation of wildlife and their importance in nature. Therefore such occasion /days are celebrated in the Nehru Zoological Park from time to time like World Earth Day (22nd April), Bio-diversity day (22nd May), World Environment day (5th June), Dr. Salim Ali Birthday (12th November), World Wet land day (2nd Feb), World Sparrow day (20th March) World Nature conservation day on 28 July, International Tiger day on 29th july and Wildlife week celebrated from 2nd – 8th oct .
